WHO IS RED PRAIRIE PRESS?: The Red Prairie Press is a one woman (rachel bone) sweatshop, supported in part by a sometimes-bearded man (phil davis) and a cat the size of a small dog (mr. sammy). We are also hopelessly dependent on our techie beotch, Entire Catalogue (Ben Whitla), and our millions and billions of best best friends who buy our lovingly crafted goods. We are currently based out of the cozy basement of our house in scenic Baltimore, MD. We are also based out of the kitchen, the bathtub, the living room, and the many nooks between all of that.
All of our designs are hand drawn and original. We print on a manual press with waterbased inks and sell our own apparel at stores all about the country as well as at craft fairs and on this site. We also take commissions for printing and design. We try our best to use worker-friends materials (ie sweatshop free) and non-toxic inks. We recycle, carpool and occasionally help old ladies get their kittens down from trees. We've never had so much fun at work as when we started working for ourselves...because it meant we get to meet all of YOU (it also meant we can now eat snacks and try out new songs and dance moves whenever we feel so inspired)...Thank you for visiting and for supporting the arts. Enjoy.
